CHARITY Christmas cards are now on sale in Launceston. Every November, a pop-up shop appears at the Central Methodist Church, offering cards and small Christmas goods from 30 local and national charities.
One of around 300 temporary shops set up in community centres, museums, libraries and churches all over the UK, it is staffed by volunteers, and keeps its operating costs to a minimum so that at least 70 pence in every pound goes to the charity of your choice.
The Launceston shop is open throughout November from 10am to 4pm on weekdays and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
