AN evening talk will be held in the Launceston Town Hall on June 8 at 7pm with the title ‘EU — In or Out?’

It is a chance for the public to come along and find out more and hear some economic perspctives from Malcolm Macmillen, a retired economist at the Exeter University Business School.

It is also a chance for the public to hear some of the economic issues surrounding Brexit from an apolitical expert in European economic matters — the overall idea of the talk is to focus on economics not politics.

There is also an opportunity to attend a public meeting being held regarding the EU Referendum at Tavistoack Town hall on Friday, May 27, at 7pm.

It will be lead by Geoffrey Cox (Cons), Member of Parliament for Torridge and West Devon who is hosting the ‘Vote Leave’ public meeting.

As part of the campaign Derek Sargent, chairman of the Torridge and West Devon UKIP, and Cllr Trevor Johns, chairman of the Torridge and West Devon Liberal Democrats, will support Mr Cox at the event.

Mr Cox said: “Vote Leave is a genuine cross-party campaign and this meeting aims to inform and equip people with the facts to provide the antidote to the scare-mongering and constant talking down of our country the Remain campaign has engaged in during recent weeks.”
