THE Friends of Buckfastleigh Swimming Pool group is holding a competition to find a ribbon cutter for its opening ceremony on May 23.

Friends members, who recently became the new trustees of the pool and also secured a £75,000 Lottery grant for its refit, are asking people to send in memories of the pool. The best one will win the VIP status.
A spokesman for the friends said: 'We're holding a competition and the lucky winner will be the one to formally open the pool.
