ALTARNUN 17-year-old, April Dawe, was delighted with how her nine-year-old pure bred appaloosa did at Camelford Agricultural Show recently. April also rode a friend's 12-year-old cob and returned home with three trophies, 16 rosettes and a sash for being BSPA champion.
April studied at The Talland School of Equitation before returning home to do A levels at Duchy College.
At Camelford Show she rode (or took in hand) her appaloosa, Springbanks Enrique, known as Babel, in open local, in hand appaloosa, gaining second prize in both, and went on to win first prize in the ridden appaloosa. She also received reserve champion and reserve local.
