LAUNCESTON men, Craig Williams and Dean Bush, had an eventful journey last month, (June 7 — 9), when they took part in the Crumball Charity Rally.

This popular, charity rally requires its challengers to drive from England to France, in a 'banger' or 'ragtop' car which has cost no more than £200, over the course of a single weekend.

Leaving Launceston at 5am, Craig and Dean's dreams to cross the French finish line, were crushed slightly when they broke down on the way to the ferry port.

After managing to secure a tow from a friendly passer-by, the men decided to carry on their journey in a hire car, leaving their banger behind in a garage to be fixed.
