THE chairman of Launceston in Bloom has expressed her appreciation of the town’s residents and all they do to keep the town looking beautiful.

Margaret Wills presented certificates recognising best floral displays, outstanding floral displays, and awards of appreciation were also given at Launceston In Bloom’s presentation event, held on Wednesday, November 9, at White Hart Hotel.

The annual presentation is a chance for Launceston In Bloom to say ‘thank you for the flowers’, and this year the association is celebrating 21 years.

Margaret expressed her thanks to the White Hart for its hospitality, adding: “The music, food and ambience was excellent. A nice evening was enjoyed by everybody. It was good to see such a nice crowd there.

“We appreciate all the work the people of Launceston do to keep the town looking nice. Residents take so much trouble with their beautiful gardens.”

There was a film showing the gardens and displays, and which also showcased the work of Launceston In Bloom. Margaret expressed her thanks to Andrew Simpson for putting the film together.

Margaret too was sincerely thanked by the Launceston In Bloom committee and she was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
