HOLSWORTHY Family Workshop Resource Centre is inviting people to spend a little time, with free entry, at the Memorial Hall at a craft fair. This annual event organised by the project is now in its 30th year.

There will be a gathering of makers and producers, local to Holsworthy, offering hand-made wares with quality in mind. Among the 30 stallholders will be preserves and chutney, honey products from Holsworthy Beekeepers, organically grown herbs made into specially formulated salves and teas from Ceridwenherbs, unique lightweight nunofelt garments, seamless hand-moulded slippers and hats by Trish Coady Clements, inspirational ceramics from three diverse coastal potters, knitted toys, fused glass, soaps, willow work, hand-made metal and textile jewellery, machined textiles and mixed media, textile art dolls and many more stalls that will reveal unique gifts for friends, family or as a personal treat. A brief shiatsu massage with blended oils can be sampled.

Creative kits for all ages, made from scrap, cleverly brought together from materials within the ‘Scrapstore’ demonstrate the projects ethos of reuse, re-invent and recycle.

The ‘great day out’ at the Memorial Hall is on Saturday, November 7 from 10am to 4pm. There will be delicious lunches and home-made cakes. As always it will be the ideal opportunity to buy unusual and affordable Christmas gifts locally.

On Wednesday, November 18 in the Scrapstore, there is a ‘Needlefelt’ creative activity making use of merino and alpaca fibre, 1pm to 3pm, booking is essential — www.hfwrc.com
