TWO neighbours in Tregadillett decided to organise a ‘street’ party to celebrate the royal wedding.

Chris Saunders and chair of Launceston Memory Café Cym Downing publicised the event to all the residents of Tregadillett and members of the Memory Cafe with local posters and via local radio.

Use of the village hall was donated. Long tables were laid out like a street party, with bunting, flags and hats.

Tesco provided splits, jam and cream. Fellow resident Pat Quirk made red, white and blue cupcakes and a team of willing helpers helped prepare sandwiches and other refreshments, all of which were enjoyed by the 50 or so people who attended.
