ALTON Community Association has cause for a double celebration after completing phase one of its current refurbishment plan and being awarded £45k by Hampshire County Council to support phase two.

Costing £20,000, the first phase of the project has seen the reconfiguration of the Alton Community Centre reception area, to provide one large, open-plan office, the creation of a new, small downstairs meeting room, and a caretakers office, opposite the main entrance.
