LAUNCESTON carnival committee met recently to arrange plans for the 2019 event.

The carnival committee were re-elected with all positions remaining the same. Carnival day will be on Saturday, October 12, with what will hopefully be the carnival that should have been last year.

The committee hope to have a full day’s entertainment programme for the town, and it is hoped the dozens of entries that would have been in last year’s parade, will join the parade for 2019.

The committee will be hosting a duck race on Saturday, March 23, at the River Kensey to raise funds for the event. Ducks are available to buy at £1 each from Launceston Tourist Information Centre at the White Hart Arcade.
