Carnival season might be over but the Bude team are still hard at work raising funds for next year’s event.

Bude Carnival Committee recently hosted a ‘Wine and Wisdom’ evening at Bude Golf Club to raise money for Bude Carnival 2023.

Carnival committee secretary Louise Chambers said: “We had 14 teams attend and the Wine and Wisdom raised a massive £635!

“The generosity of local businesses helped us achieve this massive amount.

“Bude Golf Club and especially James Cox for hosting, Brendon Arms for winners prize, Chadds for cheese for the tables, B&M for snacks for the tables and other local supporters who donated wine and raffle prizes.”

The carnival committee also do their fair share to support local charities and were delighted to present cheques totalling £3,150 to a number of worthwhile causes and groups from proceeds of this year’s event.
