POLICE are appealing for information after a garage in the Camelford area was broken into and a safe stolen.
The upstairs office of Camelot Garage, at Valley Truckle, was forced open and a safe stolen from the wall at around 4.30am on Sunday, October 7.
At 8.30am that morning, a local man spotted two men in a field trying to open a safe. They fled in a blue Ford Mondeo car. A car matching the description was located in St Breward.
After the said car failed to stop for police, an authorised pursuit took place which involved driving out of St Breward and onto the A30.
The vehicle was found abandoned in Polyphant, near Launceston, a short while later. Two men, both aged 37 and living in the Bude area, have been helping police with their enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: "We ask anyone to come forward who may have witnessed the pursuit or saw the men discard anything from the vehicle."
Anyone with information are asked to call 101, quoting log reference number BC/12/398.
