BUDE artist, Sue Read’s exhibition of expressive paintings has opened at The Willoughby Gallery, The Castle, Bude.

Drawing on personal contemplation and reflection, ‘Call of the Sea’ features a collection of vibrant coastscapes in various media, some painted and some sketched, all directly from the landscape with further ideas explored in Sue’s barn studio.

The exhibition runs until July 27, from 10am to 5pm daily with free entry.

On the afternoons of Monday, July 18 and Sunday, July 24 Sue will be holding ‘meet the artist’ sessions with a demonstration of oilbars on paper, a medium she has been using this winter for outdoor sketches. Works are also available on Sue’s website www.sueread.co.uk
