TIN cans and milk bottles were cleverly transformed into brightly coloured bees as Callington’s Memory Cafe held a Honey Fair themed event.
Participants learned a little of the history of the Fair in the town, and organiser Chris provided Cornish honey cake, made with local honey, and served up with clotted cream.
Visit www.callington-memory-cafe.org for the recipe, and on the website you can also find out what the cafe has to offer over the next few months.
Callington Memory Cafe is a place where any one living with memory loss may find support.
The group meets on alternate Sundays (even weeks on the calendar) between 2-4pm at Callington Methodist Hall.
The cafe is described as a “safe, caring and confidential environment where you can take part in a diverse variety of activities designed to stimulate memories. These include craft, music and games.
We welcome and encourage family, friends and carers to accompany our guests.”
