THE Rotary Club of Bude is organising a competition for budding young photographers.

There are three age groups in the competition, ranging from seven to ten; 11 to 13 and 14 to 17. Entrants are required to produce a set of three photographs, based on the theme ‘reflection’.

The winners of the local heat will be submitted to the district competition, covering Cornwall and Devon, and the best entries will go forward to a national final. All entries must be received no later that January 6, 2017.

Entry is free and certificates will be awarded to all participants. Escalating cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of each group at each level.

In addition, the winners of each group at district level will be invited to attend a photographic workshop with well-known local photographer, Ross Hoddinott.

Ross is a former winner of BBC Countryfile’s junior photography competition, and is now among the country’s leading outdoor photographers and a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
