THE Ministry of Defence has put a halt to the popular Tweseldown artisan market in Church Crookham, which is due to take place on Saturday.

The management team at Tweseldown Racecourse received a call from the defence ministry, who they currently lease the land off, ordering them to cancel the event while they investigate a complaint from a member of the public regarding the banners and signs used to advertise the event.

The racecourse lease is in the process of being renegotiated and Tweseldown may soon be under new management. It has not been made clear by the Ministry of Defence, current management or the new leaseholders whether this event with continue in the future.
