A MOST splendid array of cakes and treats were enjoyed by visitors to Bude Police Station on Saturday, February 11, as two young St Petroc's School students laid on a sale in an attempt to raise funds for Sport Relief 2012. Eleven-year-old Tom Whitmarsh, alongside Oscar Morris, has run cake sales before in support of charity at school, but this time wanted to allow more people the opportunity to get involved. Their plan worked, as plenty of locals came to sample the delights — some of which were provided by Radio Cornwall's Laurence Reed, who kindly publicised the sale and invited the boys into the studio on the following Monday to tell him how it went.
