LOCAL Community Land Trust, Homes for Holsworthy, has plans for two schemes in Holsworthy for aspiring home owners.

Homes for Holsworthy (HfH) has already provided 15 homes in the area but is now looking at a self-build project on a site in Holsworthy for people with a local connection who are unable to afford open market prices.

This will require a minimum of eight purchasers who have the drive to build their own homes. HfH wants at least three of these to be experienced tradespeople and the others would act as labourers willing to learn.

The houses are likely to be timber-framed and the shells put up by specialist contractors with the self-builders then taking over the project, working closely together as a group to finish their homes.
