Students, families and staff at Budehaven Community School are celebrating GCSE results that reflect the hard work, resilience and determination of young people across the school.

The school says that the results reinforce Budehaven's focus on ‘ensuring that every student is known, supported and challenged to succeed’.

Headteacher Dom Wilkes said: "Today is first and foremost about our young people. These results represent years of effort, commitment and perseverance from a fantastic group of students who have embraced every opportunity available to them. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

Budehaven is a school at the heart of its community, serving young people from across North Cornwall and the surrounding rural areas. These outcomes reflect not only academic success but also the character, resilience and ambition of our students.

We are particularly pleased that many students have exceeded expectations, opening doors to exciting next steps in education, training and employment."

Many students will now progress to the school's thriving Sixth Form, while others are moving on to apprenticeships, vocational programmes and specialist post-16 pathways.

Mr Wilkes added “These results belong to our students, but they are also a testament to the support provided by families, governors and our dedicated staff team. Together, we continue to demonstrate what can be achieved when a community works collectively to ensure that every young person can fulfil their potential. We wish all of our Year 11 students every success as they move on to the next stage of their education and look forward to welcoming many of them back into our Sixth Form in September."

As one of Cornwall's largest secondary schools, Budehaven continues to provide a broad and ambitious curriculum, extensive extracurricular opportunities and a clear commitment to its vision of ‘Educating to Lead Better Lives.'
