BUDE’S water rescue team was called when a person became stuck in mud at River Camel, off Jubilee Road, Wadebridge, at around 12.40pm on Sunday, August 28.
A fisherman on the opposite bank alerted emergency services to a person that was stuck in the mud, and an incoming tide, and firefighters from Wadebridge and Bodmin, and a water rescue team from St Austell also attended the incident.
Coastguard, ambulance and police also responded.
The man was able to free himself but was exhausted and was left in the care of paramedics.
The water rescue teams were not required and they were returned.
