A letter was recently sent to residents living in the area at the back of the school (including Broadclose Hill) from Colin Benney, area valuer for Cornwall County Council.
It told residents: "As you will be aware the current access road to your property bisects the site of the above schools. This is unsatisfactory, as it causes problems from health and safety and security points of view for the schools.
"The county council has been in discussion with Bude Football Club and Seasons, the owners of the neighbouring tourist site, with a view to diverting the access road to the boundary of the school site."
Mr Benney said he hoped the residents would support the proposal, and asked for them to signify their support and understanding of the proposal by signing and returning a second copy of the letter.
"I should stress this is only a proposal and by signing and returning the letter in no way guarantees the scheme will go ahead," he added.
However, a number of residents have voiced concerns over the proposals, and as a result, a meeting has been organised to
discuss the matter further and to let others know of the plans.
District councillors Nigel Pearce and Nathan Bale have been approached about the matter and are expected to attend the meeting.
Mr Mike Walker told the 'Post' that if the proposals went ahead, it would involve the road going across the bottom of Bude Town Football Club, and added: "It's a very big issue for Bude."
He said the proposal, if approved, would cause "chaos," particularly as a result of a lack of parking spaces in the area.
Organisers of the meeting have carried out a letter drop, and have received a good response from people who plan to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be held at Langfield Manor, Bude, on March 25 at 7pm.
