THE man who helped rescue two boys off Northcott Mouth (The 'Post,' September 6) in an incident in which their mother died, said this week it could have been his wife and children out there.

Simon Hill, 39, went into the water to help the boys and their mother when they were carried out to sea by rip tides — the boys on body boards.

With the aid of a second man, the boys, aged 11 and 13, were helped to shore but their mother died later in hospital.
