The new Bude Memory Café's awareness day was held on Friday, October 1 and was very well attended by future volunteers and members of other Memory Cafés.
A Memory Café is a place where carers and the people suffering from any memory loss can meet to socialise over a cup of tea and a chat with fellow sufferers. The presentation was made by Tim Jones from the Wadebridge Café and was followed by a general discussion.
It was decided that the first café will be held on Friday, November 5 at 2pm. A committee was elected at a meeting on Friday (October 8) and another meeting will be held at 2.30pm on Friday, October 22 at the Parkhouse Centre for any volunteers to attend.
