A BUDE businessman who, for many years, believed he had no 'blood' family, has been reunited with his half-sister after more than 60 years apart.

Simon Beecher, 66, found out that he was adopted when he was 19 and since then has felt a kind of void in his life, but getting married and running a successful business meant he kept it at the back of his mind.

It was only when he decided to try the 'lost and found' column featured on the back page of Saturday's Daily Mail that light was shed on his real family.

Simon sent an email to the paper, giving details of how he was adopted and the information he had from the adoption papers.
