A BUDE lady is to take part in a challenge of a lifetime to raise money for charity.

Michaela Willis from Bude is part of a team of 15 Cornwall Hospice Care supporters who are making their final preparations before embarking on a challenge to help raise funds for the charity.

The group of intrepid trekkers from across the county will be swapping their day to day lives of comfort and familiar surroundings for long days of trekking and washing from a bowl when they set off on October 1.

The route goes through the Si Ma Tai and Jin Shan Ling sections of the wall, taking in steep ascents and a vast amount of steps as it leads the trekkers along one of the greatest Wonders of the World. Camping each night in remote villages, the team will also experience authentic Chinese culture, getting an insight into life in rural China.
