Cousins Summer and Sky Bolitho of Bude (pictured) sang a selection of classic Christmas songs along with some old Cornish and Irish favourites at the St Hilary Care Home in Bude on Christmas Eve. They were following in the footsteps of their late grandfather John Bolitho. He was a well known Cornish character and popular singer who performed for the 'old folks' every Christmas Eve before his death in 2005. Summer (12) and Sky (11) have both recently passed The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 4 singing exam. They thought it would be a good idea to put their musical talents to good use by reviving their late grandfather's Christmas Eve tradition. They performed for an hour to a very appreciative audience. The songs sung were: We Wish You a Merry Christmas (duet); Away in a Manger (duet); Angel Chorus (duet); Silent Night sang in Cornish (Summer); White Rose (Sky); Molly Malone (duet); Danny Boy (Summer); Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Sky); Winter Wonderland (duet); Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Summer) and White Christmas (Sky).
