A FIREFIGHTER at Bude Community Fire Station has received the Long Service And Good Conduct Medal for 20 years service, with 14 other members across the county.
Mark Blatchford was one of the members of the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service who was highlighted during its annual award ceremony at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth recently.
Around 30 staff were presented with awards during the ceremony which was attended by a number of dignitaries including the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE; Cllr Mrs Pat Harvey, Chairman of Cornwall Council; Cllr Jim Currie, Leader of Cornwall Council; and Catherine Mead, High Sheriff of Cornwall.
