TWO fire brigade appliances from Bude attended a reported house fire in Week St Mary at around 9.40pm on Tuesday, June 2.
On arrival the crews found a small fire in the airing cupboard. Wearing four breathing apparatus and using one hose reel, the crews extinguished the fire.
The roof space was investigated using a thermal imaging camera to check that the fire hadn't spread. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear smoke from the property.
A Cornwall County Fire Brigade spokesman said the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
