George and Hazel Bowden (nee Cann) of Bude will be celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary on April 16. They were married at Canworthy Water Methodist Church, their reception followed at the White Hart Hotel, Launceston and they spent their honeymoon in Torquay. George has been retired from British Telecom for 22 years, this retirement period he says was the biggest test of his marriage! The couple have booked a few days away in Falmouth with a family meal planned for the big day.
