BUDE Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) were paged at 2.34am on Saturday, June 11, and asked to assist Devon and Cornwall Police in the search for a missing person in the Bude area.

Hartland CRT, Cornwall Search and Rescue Team, and Rescue 924, the coastguard rescue helicopter based in Newquay, were also tasked to assist in the incident.

Following some initial searches from the gentleman’s last known position, he was discovered safe and well, and all emergency services were duly stood down.
