AFTER returning from a tour of duty in Japan, Chief Officer Liam Saxton, from Bude, (from company PNTL/James Fisher) was invited by his company to attend a MN RN liaison course courtesy of Her Majesty's Navy.

Liam was invited to HMS Collingwood, where, along with three other MN senior officers took part in lectures, conferences, exercises, discussions and debates relating to world issues in general such as counteracting terrorism, counter piracy, warfare and cadet officer training.

The week saw an invitation to dinner at Collingwood House with Commodore Tim Rowe HMS Collingwood, Rear Admiral Sir Alan Massey, CEO to the MCA, Commander Bill Evans and Lieutenant Commander Roger Leather. Many issues were discussed on world affairs and MN/RN maritime topics in general.
