THE fundraising efforts of the Bude, Stratton & District Cancer Research UK branch are continuing and have recently been boosted by the sterling efforts of a 13-year-old boy.

At a recent branch meeting, the chairman, Ray Shaddick, reported that the coffee morning organised by Ann Bryant raised £200.

The collection at Morrisons amounted to £656.55.

He thanked Morrisons, the Bude & Stratton Post and everyone who continues to support Cancer Research UK.

He also thanked the young people of Bude and Holsworthy districts for their support, especially to one young man, 13-year-old Daniel Seymour Smith who, through a sponsored walk, raised the magnificent amount of £840.
