FOUR friends from Bude set off on Thursday, May 26 from John O'Groats in North East Scotland with the aim of reaching Land's End in South West Cornwall. Brett Didwell, Rob Saxton, Marcus Smith and Dan Younger plan to complete the world famous 1,050 mile JOGLE (John O'Groats to Land's End) challenge in 16 days. The route will take them through Scotland, England and Wales without the aid of any support vehicles. Everything they will need will be carried on their bikes, including camping equipment. They are raising money for the charity Bliss, which is a special care baby charity that provides vital support to premature and sick babies. Your support would be most appreciated. They have already raised over £1,200 and they hope to try and raise this considerably during the two weeks leading up to their successful arrival at Land's End.
