A bride-to-be has won prizes, including a wedding dress worth up to £1,000, in a Bude bridal shop's unique competition. Becki Jefferies from?Launceston was the last woman standing in the competition — it saw her and fellow bride-to-be Stephanie Hill from Bridgerule standing in the shop windows of Budeiful Brides on The Strand for as long as possible dressed in wedding dresses as 'live mannequins'. There were strict rules in the competition — the women had to remain in the dresses at all times, eat, sleep and drink in them and could only have comfort breaks every four hours. The competition, which was thought up to mark the shop's first year of business, started on Saturday morning — the women had to be at the shop ready in the dresses to go in the windows for a 10.30am start.
