PLAYING host to what is set to be a ‘spectacular dance theatre performance’, Bradworthy Primary School will welcome Lila Dance on Friday, November 18.

Lila Dance Company, in association with Beaford Arts, will be performing The Deluge (pictured right) in the school hall at Bradworthy Primary Academy School, starting at 6.45pm.

The storyline of this piece evolves from the idea of a giant wave taking over the village and the school hall is the refuge.

This will be an interactive performance with up to 18 members of the community from any age above secondary school being invited to take part in a small section of the performance — no experience necessary.

There will be free workshops available to prepare the performance material and these will take place in Bradworthy Primary Academy School’s hall on November, Wednesday 16, and November, Thursday 17. Each workshop will run from 5pm to 8pm.

On the performance day (Friday 18) participants will need to be in rehearsals from 4.15pm until the performance begins at 6.45pm and ends at around 8pm.

Those who wish to take part in the performance need to sign up by November 7, and can do so by calling 01409 241313 or by email at [email protected]

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s. These can be purchased from Bradworthy Post Office, Bradworthy Primary Academy School’s office, online at www.beaford-arts.org.uk or by calling 01409 241313.
