AFTER 15 enjoyable years, the 'Post's' community news correspondent for Boyton, is retiring.

Sylvia Duke, who has been sending in weekly accounts of the goings on in the village, is moving to Launceston and as result will no longer be sending in Boyton community news.

Having first become involved when she used to help the late Elizabeth (Nellie) Cowling with funeral reports, Sylvia has enjoyed her time as a correspondent. She was approached when Elizabeth passed away on October 25, 1996. At the time she agreed to "give it a try" and ever since, Sylvia has sustained the role.
