LAUNCESTON Town Council grants were awarded to various charities, organisations and clubs at the annual town meeting last Thursday.

Town mayor Cllr Dave Gordon, who presented the grants, said: "It's been a pleasure to award somewhere in the region of £18,000."

The grants were from the town council, and separately community grants were awarded from the residual funds of the Launceston Forum.
