Special local delivery letterboxes for Christmas cards were placed in local businesses around the town, including in TSB’s Bude branch.
The donation is part of a nationwide community pride donation programme by TSB, to help a local charity do great things in their community.
Lucille Denford, local manager at TSB in Bude, said: “We’re delighted to be able to help the First Bude Scouts with this donation. We chose to give this money to First Bude Scouts because of their local Christmas postal service. It’s fantastic to know that the £125 we are giving them will really make a difference to people in our local community.”
TSB’s community pride donations are part of the bank’s approach to charitable giving, which supports small local causes that matter to its customers where they live and work, rather than focusing on one, centrally chosen ‘Charity of the Year’.
Across Britain, TSB has partnered with nearly 500 charities as part of its Local Charity Partnership scheme. The Bude Memory Café is TSB’s Local Charity Partner in Bude. So far this year, TSB in Bude has raised over £120 for Bude Memory Café, which is being used to help anyone worried about their memory or affected by dementia.
In total, TSB has donated over £1-million to local charities across Britain since 2015, through fundraising and donations.
