St Breward Church Easter Fayre was held in the village Bandroom last Saturday (March 27) and raised a combined total of £743 between the school Parent Teacher Association (£385) and church's Easter fayres (£358). With full stalls offering everything from bric-a-brac to second-hand quality clothes to cakes to books, together with a raffle, cake auction and a busy refreshments area, the traditional church Easter fayre in the village bandroom was once again a hive of natter and chatter. Together with generous offers for items and additional donations, a very welcome £358 was raised towards church funds, far beating expectations. The event concluded with an Easter bonnet parade by the ladies. Thanks were expressed to all the helpers on the stalls and in the busy refreshments area and to all attending to make such a festive and generous event.
