THE Bodmeyrick Residential Home at Holsworthy held its Summer Fete on Saturday, July 30, and there was lots for those attending to see and do.

Manager Keeley Marshall was delighted with how the event went, adding: “It was a lovely day, with really good weather. There was a lot of support from the local people as usual.”

There was an array of stalls, tombola, raffle, guess the weight of the cake and other competitions for residents and visitors to take part in and some wonderful entertainment including live music.

A barbecue was also on offer and traditional cream teas were served, keeping everyone topped up throughout the day.

Over £500 was raised during the event. This will go towards the residents’ fund, which will help to pay for trips out for the residents and equipment for the home.

Thanks have been extended to everyone who supported the event and made it a great success.
