BLISLAND Village Hall was the place to be on Saturday, June 15.
The long awaited concert by the Icknield Sixteen (which had grown to 20!), and singers and maestros Michael Bernstein and Colin Stevens as Flanders and Swann was a total sell-out, with the hall packed to capacity.
From the opening bars to the final chord, the audience enjoyed an evening of brilliant professional entertainment — choral works, individual solos, humorous sketches (slightly irreverent, but lightly amusing), a flute solo by Emma Trethewey accompanied by her uncle, Colin Stevens, and, of course, items by the inimitable Flanders and Swann, plus lusty audience participation.
