AFTER a year’s absence, the Holsworthy and District Lions annual duck race took to the water once again at this year’s Bridgerule Revel.

Not literally though, as it was thought to be too unsafe to get into the water.

Instead, Revel Queen Holly Trayford drew the winning ticket. First prize of a mountain bike went to Conrad Ford of Holsworthy. S Argyrow, of Holsworthy, and J Manifold, of Bradford, won the second and third prizes of a meal voucher for the Rydon Inn, and £20, respectively.

The bike was presented to Mr Ford, at the White Hart Hotel in Holsworthy, by acting president Ray Fursdon and various members of the Lions Club.
