HUNDREDS turned out in support of Launceston's annual late night shopping event, organised by the Chamber of Commerce, on the evening of Friday, December 9.

A party atmosphere enveloped the town square, with plenty of performers providing entertainment on a cold, but kind, night for shoppers. Such was the standard of the spectacle, that many stayed to enjoy the whole occasion.

The procession was larger than ever, and had the unexpected twist of Father Christmas riding through the street on one of Joseph's amazing camels!

He was joined by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Paul Loft and Cornwall Councillor for Launceston South Sasha Gillard-Loft, who had organised the event.

She commented: "It was an excellent turn out by the people of Launceston. I've been organising the event for five years now, and I think this could have been the biggest crowd yet!
