THE children from Bude home school group Free Range Kids have been working hard of late to create themselves a new bovine friend.

'Bessie' the cow was made by weaving hay on to a basic frame made of wood and wire mesh. The children, who range in age from four to 15-years-old, created Bessie as part of a three-day course they took part in thanks to local artist Angelique Medland looking at 'nature through art'.
