Councillors in Tenby have been given assurances that a bench is to be returned to its original spot next to the town's War Memorial after development work nearby is completed.
Concerns had been raised recently that construction work taking place in the town, at the former Delphi building linking Uper Park Road to the South Parade, had seen the removal of a memorial bench behind the cenotaph.
"We have been assured by Pembrokeshire County Council that the new area is kept separate to the cenotaph and that the bench goes back in its original spot," the town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, told members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night.
