THE end of another academic year at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland, was celebrated in style as staff and students partied the night away at their annual summer ball.

More than 400 attended the event, looking very glamorous for the prestigious event, which was held in a marquee overlooking Kit Hill and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

This year, the theme for the ball was voted for by students, choosing ‘Masquarade’ as the theme. There was certainly a mysterious feel to the evening and student chairperson, Sarah Cotton said: “It was an amazing night. The live acts were fab and everyone had so much fun on the dodgems.”

The evening’s entertainment kicked off with sing/songwriter Josh Curnow, followed by a DJ who took over entertaining duties so all of the students could let their hair down and dance the night away.

Head of site at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland, Rob Dunn, said: “It is brilliant that all the students celebrate their achievements by letting their hair down with this amazing event. I would like to thank everyone involved for making this event memorable, something the students will look back on in future years.”
