A BAKERY in Callington is giving away hundreds of ‘PE kit’ style bags for free to a good home.

During the pandemic, The Cornwall Bakery ordered the nylon bags for their employees to help them store their belongings.

Eight hundred of the bags are now left over, and the Callington company is looking for groups in the community who could have a potential use for them.

Local schools have been contacted but say there is no obvious need now that pupils have been back to school since September.

It’s hoped that community groups or a charity could put the bags to good use.

The 800 bags can be split between several groups and come in a variety of colours including orange, red, royal blue and purple. They are free of charge, as long as they used for a good cause and not sold on, says The Cornwall Bakery.
