Launceston Lions Club is appealing for unwanted laptops and tablets, which can be used to enable those local school children without a device to access on line learning.
They are aware of some families where a single device has to be shared, which makes it very difficult for each child.
A spokesperson said: “Do you have an unwanted laptop or tablet? The age is immaterial as long as it connect to the internet.”
Short Circuit (based at High Street, Launceston, 07835 218342) have very kindly undertaken to update, renovate and make good any devices.
As they are currently closed some of the time, Tony Winnings has agreed to accept any devices (next door at Winnings Gallery) between 10am and 1.30pm during the week.
These devices will be delivered to the schools where they will be passed onto the deserving pupils.
Launceston Rotary and Launceston Foodbank are also assisting with this project.
