April Fools Day was chosen as the date for an 'Any Questions' held in Holsworthy Memorial Hall with four of the town's most distinguished citizens, James Rowland, Nigel Clarke, Major Mike Johns and Cliff Gilbert, on the panel and John Addicott there as chairman to keep order.

The cut and thrust of political debate heard on similar programmes on the radio and TV was absent and the questions put by the audience drew wit and occasionally wisdom from the panellists.

Questions from the audience asked how the panel they would spend a pension the size of Sir Fred Goodwin's, if Holsworthy should be the capital of England and the Court Leet take over the government, about paternity leave and what colour they would like the Square to be when it is resurfaced.

The event was organised to raise funds for the hall and an evening of fun was enjoyed by all.
