Dear Editor It was with a sense of bemused incredulity that I discovered that yet another application for outline planning permission to build up to 38 dwellings on land adjacent to the B4222 in Lea has been submitted to Herefordshire Council.
I am astonished because a near-identical application was comprehensively - and quite rightly - rejected by the council's planning committee back in February. For a developer to come back with, what is to all intents and purposes, the same proposal is tantamount to an insult to the democratically-elected committee, Lea Parish Council, the Lea Action Group, Lea's County Councillor, Harry Bramer, and everybody else who opposed it the first time round. I hope and trust that it will be slung out once again.
Anybody who wishes to make their views known about this, frankly disgraceful, application should email Herefordshire County Council at [email protected]">[email protected] citing reference P151251/O. Lea's long-suffering residents are rapidly becoming sick and tired of being slapped in the face by developers.
Steve Banner, Lea.
